Firefighter Cake Smash | Wethersfield, CT

Aiden celebrated his first birthday with a firefighter cake smash that was absolutely “on fire”! This has definitely been on my list of desired themes and I was so excited when his mom asked if we could put something together. With his Daddy being a Wethersfield firefighter, it was only fitting that we wow him with something really cool and related to his service! Luckily, I happen to know an amazing local firefighter who connected me with all kids of awesome props to create the set with! An antique fire alarm, fire extinguisher, sprinkler head, and some in-use parts of the uniform really completed this custom set up! We spent the first part of his cake smash session photographing some clean portraits, which parents always love to have options from when choosing what photos to purchase later. Then it was cake time! His cute matching cake was provided by Sisco’s Sweets and let’s just say he LOVED the cake! He probably would have spent more of the morning eating if we let him (and even cried when it was time to take it away)! Luckily, a fun bubble bath to wrap up the morning was just the cure and he happily splashed and played with the bubbles (even trying to eat those too!). All in all, his firefighter cake smash was a huge success! Mom & Dad ended up going with a Signature Album, a beautiful framed photo, and a Desk Print collection of mounted prints during their ordering appointment which was the perfect way to enjoy many images from his session for years to come! I look forward to seeing them again for their next session together!
