Purple Flowers Cake Smash | Glastonbury, CT

This might be one of my favorite set ups to date! When it was time to plan baby Brie’s first birthday photo shoot, and mom gave me the freedom to design something new, I came up with a purple flowers cake smash theme to go along with her spring birthday! Of course the color purple is ALWAYS a favorite of mine! I used one of my new backdrops from Roses & Ruffles and I just love how it looked with the rest of the set! We also took some pre-cake portraits just to make sure we had a nice gallery for mom and dad before the cake (in case she wasn’t a fan). This little mover was hard to keep in one place! But who could blame her, with a cake from Betty’s Cake Creations not far away to be consumed! Once we put the cake in front of her, she wasn’t sure about what to do with it at first (totally normal!). Once I had mom give her some frosting to try, she was pretty excited about it (and “painting” with it too!). She was over the cake a little sooner than some babies are, but not to worry, we decided to do a last minute bath add-on instead to get a few more photos! And BOY was that a great idea!!! Brie LOVED the bath. Like LOVED it! As you’ll see below, we probably have just as many bath pictures as cake pictures! She was so tickled by the entire thing – the bubbles (mom even helped blow some too!), the suds, the container we put her in, and oh splashing is fun too! Let’s just say that Brie’s purple flowers cake smash gallery was bigger than most! Enjoy!
