Antique Airplane Cake Smash | Somers, CT
I’ve been hoping to create an antique airplane cake smash theme for a while now and recently little Lukas and his mom were looking for just that idea for his first birthday! This was such a fun set to make at my Newington, CT photography studio. Although Lukas was feeling a little under the weather due to unavoidable 12 month vaccines that morning, he still loved checking out my little airplane props and floor confetti as he posed in his adorable pilot outfit. Cake time was fun as we used a spoon to play (not everyone likes frosting on their hands and that’s ok!). Since this was scheduled soon before getting together, we were assisted by our local baker Donna at The Kakery, who was able to draw some adorable bi-plane designs on the cake to match and have it ready for us on shorter notice. Since we love making our first birthday cake smashes as custom as we can, we do try to book these at least 1-2 months out for planning purposes BUT, as in this case, it is always possible to work together to fit in a fun and beautiful set design for your child’s first birthday. I’m so glad we were able to bring them in to join us for a photo session. We had a great time getting to know Lukas and his mom and love that they have wonderful photos to enjoy for years to come!
