Girly Bohemian Cake Smash | Windsor, CT
We rounded out our very busy last quarter of 2020 with this adorable girly bohemian cake smash session with this little cutie at my Newington, CT photography studio. Mom was sure about the bohemian theme from the beginning, but asked for a little bit of a vintage twist! This is a big reason why you see me building my own set ups instead of purchasing backdrops with props printed on them because I can truly customize to what each client would like! The outfits they brought with them for her were just adorable! So many of my followers commented on how pretty they were, and with some pink pops of color really brought out those big blue eyes of hers! After some simple portraits to warm up to my crazy mask-face, we played at bit more with the themed set and boy did she LOVE the vintage beads we put out! Those were a hit (and usually are) and came in handy again later during cake-time too! Next we had some balloon play and this was her first time actually playing with one! She LOVED that too! I let Mom & Dad take it home with them for more fun at home! Cake time….we weren’t so sure about! And you know what, I tell parents all the time that every kid is different. Some dive right in! Others really have no idea what to do with it (but eventually figure it out once they have a taste), and still others want nothing to do with it because they don’t want the messy feeling on their hands! So this little miss wasn’t really up to getting messy very much. We did explore the pretty flowers, and actually was ok getting her feet in it too. But as far as eating it – nah! That’s ok! It’s a big reason why we do a few different sections during these appointments so that we still have plenty of beautiful photos to choose from. Bath time was MUCH more her speed – so we went with that! In the end, we had quite a few adorable smiles from this little one and her parents were so happy picking them out! I can’t wait to plan more cake smashes for 2021, and the inquiries are already pouring in for winter and spring! Don’t forget to contact us about 3-4 weeks at least in advance to plan!
