Our bohemian cake smash theme is one of our most popular set ups for girls and I love pulling it out when requested! It’s very subtle and timeless and can really go with a variety of color schemes too. This time, we added some white curtains on the side just to widen the perspective a little bit more and I just love how it came out! This cutie first birthday smasher came to my Newington, CT studio all the way from New York state! Her grandpas are very dear clients of mine that love to visit around the holidays for Christmas photos. So when it came time for their precious granddaughter to celebrate their first birthday, I was thrilled when they asked if I would photograph her cake smash while her parents were down visiting them! Jessa is a girl on a MISSION! Despite only turning 1 recently, she knows what she wants and is ready to go for it! Portrait time was fun and full of laughs as her grandpas took turns playing with my puppets behind me. Then it was time for a quick outfit change and over to the boho set for some balloon play! What kid doesn’t love balloons? Then we were ready for some CAKE! A delicious creation as always by Betty’s Cake Creations, Jessa LOVED eating her sweet snack once she realized how yummy it was! We had to go for every last crumb! After getting sufficiently messy, it was time for a bath! Which she LOVED too! We used a brand new antique tub that my MIL found for me recently and it worked perfectly with this set! Splashing and duck playing were a hit! We had such a great time with Jessa and her beautiful family and I can’t wait to see what they choose from their many many great photos in this gallery! Don’t forget!
