When the weather is chilly outside, it helps to check out some bright and colorful set ups to help you think of spring! So a recap of Savannah’s adorable pink flowers cake smash should be just the ticket! Her Mom contacted me over the summer about planning for her daughter’s upcoming first birthday, and had followed along with my work (and been referred) for quite some time! It’s always fun to help those plan who have looked forward to working together for so long. AND I hope that I can give them some truly amazing and beyond expectations also! We decided on this cute and popular theme for baby girls and I just love the layers of texture in it. Mom wanted something that would match a special dress she had purchased for her daughter and this was going to be perfect to go together! Complete with a yummy cake from The Kakery and we were all ready for photo taking! As with many one year olds that haven’t met me before, Savannah took some time warming up. But that’s ok here! We don’t put time limits on sessions and it gives them the opportunity to get to know me and my studio and it does help turn things around. All she needed was a pink balloon to play with and we were friends! She loved playing with the flowers in my set (ok, eating them) and cake time was a blast! She was more than happy to make a mess with her hands, a spoon, her feet – anything she could! And when it was time for a quick bath to clean off she was all smiles! I just love how her gallery came together and the gorgeous album, frame, accordion books, and canvas they purchased from it! Seeing everything in print was so joyful for her parents when they came to pick everything up, and it truly reaffirms what I do for a profession and how important it is! I hope they can enjoy these photos forever, and we will see each other again soon for other milestones too!
