Pink Pumpkin Cake Smash | Newington, CT

Ahhh! My little girl Stella is ONE! How is that possible? She was just here for her newborn and 6 month baby milestone sessions! Now here she is celebrating her first birthday with a pink pumpkin cake smash! When her mom and I talked about what theme we wanted to incorporate, we wanted to make sure to carry over the classic feel and pink color scheme, but she also wanted to bring fall into it as well. So this was the perfect combination for all of those things and I just love how this set came out. I think this could definitely be a new client favorite! Stella was a little unsure about sitting on her own (shoes are still tough at 1!) but with some help from mom we were all smiles, especially when it came to cake time! And who could blame her with yummy goodness made by Betty’s Cake Creations in such a cute way! Did you know that cakes are provided as part of the session? Betty and I work hard to collaborate so the set up looks higher end and it is a good quality cake too! And, it’s one less thing you need to worry about bringing. But I still ALWAYS recommend having your child try a similar piece of cake/frosting before their cake smash just to get used to the texture. Aren’t those little pumpkins on the cake SO cute?? Stella made quite the smashing mess and loved using the wooden spoon as a tool! Afterwards, it was bath time! This always helps prolong the session and can bring out some additional adorable smiles too! I love that this family will have an album of photos from the entire year and can celebrate her “graduation” from her Baby Plan!
