Twin Valentine Cake Smash | Newington, CT
More of my newborn graduates are turning one! This was my 3rd set of twins from 2019 that celebrated a birthday and it seems like just yesterday they were here for their newborn photoshoot! Planning a cake smash for a boy/girl combination isn’t always easy, but Mom was confident that I’d come up with something extra adorable! Being that they would be turning 1 in February, I decided to debut a “double the love”, twin valentine cake smash! She loved the idea, and it was off to the planning board! I decided to use one of my popular white washed backgrounds as a base, and decorate with curtains from our Christmas set from 2019, and a lot of red, white, and black props! In the end, I was SO excited with how it turned out! Mom and Dad were overjoyed, and then it was time to photograph these cute kiddos! For the portraits, we use my white brick wall, since I knew it would match in their gallery, and give them both some extra time to adjust to the studio and to me. When you’re working with more than one toddler, they definitely feed off of each other. So if one of them is more unsure or scared, it’s eventually going to affect the other one as well. I take plenty of time to make sure that my kids are as happy as they can be before we continue. Luckily, both were more than happy to take pictures! We played with some rose petals in the set and then it was cake time! They enjoyed a HUGE cupcake made by the always amazing, Betty’s Cake Creations, and both of them thought it was delicious! After a sufficient amount of cake and frosting and spoon/tool inspection, we took out the bath for a quick rinse. What a beautiful gallery they ended up with, and I’m so glad they’ll be enjoying the images in a custom Signature Album to look through when they get a little bit older.
