Wedding Preview at Glastonbury Hill Country Club | Glastonbury, CT

Carolyn & Michael were married on a picture-perfect late summer day in August (which for New England this summer, was few and far between!). Their wedding preview contains just a small sample of the many photographs I captured on their wedding day, but tells a beautiful story of their love for each other. I’ve known Carolyn as a colleague at our previous corporate jobs, and was honored when she asked if I was available to photograph their wedding. We started the day at Carolyn’s father’s home, which is adjacent to her uncle’s home as well. It was really nice to see so many of her family members mingling between the two houses, while still keeping the bride and groom from seeing each other. 🙂 Their details matched their personalities and likes together so well. Carolyn had most of her female family members helping with the get-ready and I was able to capture some special, emotional moments between them as she stepped into her dress. Their ceremony was filled with details connected to both the bride and the groom – dragonflies (bride favorite), a doorway that was custom built by the groom to enter the ceremony outdoors, purple flowers and dresses, even dragonflies on the groom’s cufflinks! It was an emotional ceremony with lots of tears and laughter, songs from friends, and filled with love. We photographed formals on the property before heading to the Glastonbury Hills Country Club for some additional portraits and the reception. What a nice location! Clean and landscaped with an efficient staff, we felt right at home as vendors. The reception included a lot of dancing and I think just about everyone enjoyed a song together on the dance floor! After some evening portraits outdoors, we finished our evening photographing the bride and groom. I hope you enjoy some of their wedding preview!
