3rd Sibling Newborn Photos | Farmington, CT
It seems like just yesterday that big sister was in my Newington, CT photography studio for her newborn photoshoot! And a few years later, the family was back with another baby girl for their 3rd sibling newborn photos! I wish I could have made it 3/3 with their big brother, but am so happy to know this beautiful family and photograph them for their special milestones like this! Baby sister came to the studio so sleepy and adorable! From the get-go she was ready to pose for me, and I’m so happy we were even able to do some things we couldn’t do with her big sister! So many new outfits, props, and backgrounds to feature, and this time we stuck with some pinks and neutrals to coordinate with the blues their family wore to contrast for their sibling and family photos. It was definitely important to Mom to have a bit more time with the family photos during their session. And that’s what makes these so customizable – we can really do anything that you’d like! Luckily baby girl did SO well with her posing, we had plenty of time to spend doing some different set ups with her siblings and then all together as a family. They had such a beautiful gallery that looked just gorgeous on a 20×30 frame for their home, some beautiful prints to share, and digital files to have as keepsakes. 1 Month Newborn Photos | Hartford, CT
We had such a busy spring of newborns! And while most of our babies were pre-scheduled with their due dates in their 2nd trimester, once we know when babies have arrived and will be photographed, we do try to open up the schedule for those that weren’t in the calendar yet. Such was the case with this cutie’s 1 month newborn photos! Mom and Dad had been so busy waiting for her arrival that they didn’t schedule until after she was born. And that’s ok! If we’re able to, we’ll fit in as many sweet babies as we can. This little miss was so alert unless she was wrapped! Sometimes after the first few weeks, babies take much lighter naps and are more curious about their surroundings to sleep. But with some good wrapping, she was off to dreamland and we got started with some cute poses and props! She was just so sweet and loved posing with her parents too! Even though we had to spend almost the entire session wrapped up – with the exception of some great baby-whispering at the end of the session for a bucket pose – we had so much variety! I can’t wait to see how her beautiful pictures are going to look in their chosen heirloom Signature Album with corresponding digital files for keepsakes! They have so many beautiful photos to cherish for a lifetime, and here are just some of their many favorites! 2 Month Newborn Photos | Hartford, CT
Typically we see our newborn babies in my Newington, CT photography studio during their first 2 weeks after they are born. It’s the best time period to capture them while they are sleeping, flexible, and able to be posed before they are more awake and hit their growth spurts. Sometimes though, babies have run into other medical issues, or timing has made it difficult to schedule their due date ahead of time. So sometimes I am called asking if I can photography an older newborn, usually past the 4 week timeframe. It’s always possible to still have beautiful photos that are developmentally appropriate for their age. As long as we are realistic with expectations in advance, I love seeing babies that are older. Sometimes we can get some really goo eye contact and poses that we normally wouldn’t. During this little guy’s session at around 2 months old, we started off with some wrapped family shots to try and settle him down. He really enjoyed being wrapped (and bounced/snuggled!) and every time that I bounced around the studio rocking him, he fell asleep! After some family photos, we slowly worked our way through some props and eventually, unwrapping to a few table poses too! I was overjoyed at the variety we were able to have with a baby that was already of this age. But every baby is different, and I was so happy to be able to give his parents these beautiful photos to enjoy digitally and in print. Pink & Sage Newborn Photos | Newington, CT
Another one of our maternity clients from this past spring had their baby! It seems like just yesterday I was photographing their youngest son for his 3 month photos a few years ago as a surprise for their Mom. And now, it was baby sister’s turn for her newborn photoshoot. She arrived at my Newington, CT studio soooo sleepy! We spent the whole morning posing her carefully and safely and she was so comfortable with everything that we did! I was able to incorporate Mom’s desire of pink and sage colors along with lots of florals. Since we had already done some family photos recently, they opted for this session to just be about baby girl, and their final session as part of their Annual Review Plan (great for multi-session options in 1 year!) could be more about the family together, maybe at Christmas time! I just love how every image came together for this little girl’s photoshoot. There were so many beautiful photos to choose from. We even incorporated a special name-blanket at the end of the session that her brother posed with similarly for his photos. I bet they are going to look really cute side by side! I love being able to product a collection with a wood cluster, prints, and some digital files so their family will have a ton of photos to enjoy for years to come. Your photos are worth so much more than only enjoying on a computer, and I can help show you have many heirloom quality ways you can feature them in your home. Neutral Pink Newborn Photos | West Hartford, CT
This special newborn photoshoot was a bit of time in the making! Last fall, I was contacted by this little one’s grandmother about purchasing a gift certificate in time for Christmas to give to her daughter and their family in anticipation of her upcoming arrival this spring. I absolutely LOVE working with family members on this, as it is such a personal gift that can truly be enjoyed for years to come! Gift certificates are ALWAYS a wonderful thing to give, and perfect for baby showers and sprinkles! There are a number of ways to purchase (Creative Fee only or something towards their ordering appointment too!) and we conveniently have e-gift cards always available for that special occasion! Mom was hoping for a pink and neutral color scheme, which I was so excited about because it meant I could use one of my new floral lace backdrops! It looked absolutely gorgeous with this baby and she posed so well for me! We also incorporated their love of NY Giants and Yankees, and baby girl felt right at home being wrapped up towards the end of her session for some photos with big brother! They were so sweet posing together, and him being a little bit older meant we were able to do a little more than traditionally with younger toddlers. Their family photos together were gorgeous, and their final selections gave them the perfect variety that they will be able to enjoy. Mauve & Maroon Newborn Photos | Farmington, CT
Typically we hope to see our newborn babies in the studio within the first 2 weeks after they are born. Here, they are the most flexible, sleepy, and can handle our movements without (usually) too much complaining. So it’s usually best to book you due date in your 2nd trimester to make sure we can prioritize in the calendar around it for when your baby arrives in accordance with our other appointments as well. But sometimes, life happens and the next thing you know – they’re here! This adorable family came to see me when baby girl was already 6 weeks old! Normally this would be a bit out of the traditional newborn stage, but “older” newborn sessions are certainly possible as well as long as expectations are set ahead of time. Usually this means more wrapping and potentially a lot of awake time. But sometimes we can get some really good eye contact or head control as a positive too! Her parents selected mauve and maroon newborn photos as their color scheme and she looked so beautiful with these colors! Wrapping was definitely needed as she had a hard time settling otherwise. But once she was wrapped, it was off to dreamland! With an older brother accompanying the session, it was perfect to be able to grab him to jump in for some quick poses with her that I’m normally not able to do with toddlers. He did a great job and we have a lot of sibling options for his parents to choose from! Despite needing to wrap the entire session, we had a wonderful gallery with a lot of variety for them to choose from. I just loved how their album came out and they were so happy when they were able to see it in print. With some keepsake digital files as well, they now have a great product combination to allow flexibility and heirloom quality to enjoy for years to come.
