Baby Fever | Derby, CT

It’s baby fever here at The Flash Lady Photography! We’ve had a number of babies making their entrance into the world and newborn photography is always such a wonderful gift to give yourself (or someone you love!). Our next little one we are focusing on is Christian. This sweetie debuted my new bed prop, (handmade by Connie Perkins Photography!) which he promptly fell asleep in as soon as I placed him in it! I always communicate with my newborn photography client prior to their sessions about nursery colors, sentimental items they might bring, or things they’ve seen me photograph in the past they’d like to replicate. Christian’s nursery was decorated in blue and gray, so we tried to stick with this color scheme so some of his photos will look great in his room! Christian’s grandma also made an adorable teddy bear outfit that she wanted photographed, and I was happy to include it at the end of the session. Like a lot of newborns, Christian’s tummy wasn’t always feeling the greatest, so we propped him up a lot in one of my newer Posing Pod seats made just for newborn photography sessions! Being upright a little bit more was just was he needed to not put a lot of pressure on his stomach. Sometimes, babies aren’t always feeling their best when they come in for their closeups, but I am so glad we were able to give Christian’s parents a full gallery of photos they can cherish forever!
