Comstock Bridge Engagement Session | East Hampton, CT

Hope & Samantha were referred to me by a previous wedding client (THANK YOU!!), which is always so meaningful to me to be able to continue giving great service to their friends! I love that they are planning so early for their June 2019 wedding and can be less stressed having all of the major things checked off. We decided to do a Comstock Bridge engagement session at one of my favorite locations in East Hampton, Connecticut (you’ve probably seen me do a lot of fall families here!). With their love of the water and the spring weather still being just a little bit chilly, this was a perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. The Comstock Bridge allows many different looks in a small location, so we started inside the bridge where I thought would be neat to play with some off camera lighting and include the warmth of the wood with the warmth of the filtered morning sun coming through the back of the bridge entrance. Their matching engagement rings (LOVE!) sparkled in the light as we positioned them on the rustic fence leading down towards the Salmon River. Walking along the river was perfect as the green of new spring growth was just starting to fill in beneath their feet. My husband, and trusty lighting assistant, and I were literally balancing against a ridge to get some of the shots! But the end results were so worth it and some of my favorite images from their engagement session.
