Planning a birthday celebration for your little one? Our custom theme do take some planning, so often times we highly suggest contacting us at least 4-6 weeks in advance (if not more for weekends/busier month requests) to make sure you can get in the calendar. But sometimes, life happens and before we know it, we’ve forgotten to call! I absolutely do my best to fit clients in when my schedule allows, and such was the case with this beautiful family! We only had a week to plan, but they were flexible and after looking through my theme menu, the dino cake smash was chosen! It’s definitely a favorite as it is so colorful and the babies have so much to look at and explore in the scene! We custom design all of our cake smashes by hand so not only does it look great in the photographs, but your kids will have things to tough that are real! And, we can incorporate different items from other themes that go too – such as our little handmade campfire prop that is used in some of our other outdoor themes as well! After arriving at my Newington, CT studio, we took some quick family photos as was requested, which helped the little man get acquainted with that “masked lady with the camera” and get to know how this process was going to work. Some babies haven’t been photographed at this stage yet, or, due to COVID-19, haven’t been around a lot of other people other than their parents. So, we like to give them time to warm up. What a little cutie he was though! As long as he had something to hold like his favorite balloon, he was all smiles! After some “clean” portraits in the set, we moved on to the cake smash part! Special thanks to my friend Donna at The Kakery for getting us an adorable matching cake on short notice! And this little guy loved it! He sufficiently smashed it before a brief wash up in the tub and finished up our session! He did great! And his photos looked so amazing in the heirloom album and digital files that his parents chose. I can’t wait to see them again and watch him grow up! Enjoy some of his favorites!
