Early Fall Family Photos | New Britain, CT

As September turns into October, we become very busy with requests for family photoshoots outdoors! It’s a great time of year to get that first session together or your annual update of how much your children have grown! We spend a lot of individual time with each family planning a location, outfits, and how they’d like to cherish their photos. These are FULL portrait sessions, so there’s no rushing the little ones who, many times, can’t handle a 20-minute photoshoot with so much distraction, especially outdoors! This time we met with this adorable family of 4 for their early fall family photos. For morning photoshoots, we love visiting Rockwell Park in Bristol, CT. Although it’s not a very popular location to think about it’s one of my favorites! The morning light is so beautiful and there are many background options in a small park that really gives families a lot of options in their final gallery. This group was so sweet because big brother and little brother are such great friends! It’s always wonderful to capture sibling connection and allow them to have fun together and give their parents beautiful photos of their fun together. Their youngest son had a lot of personality as well and we loved talking throughout our photoshoot together. This is also a great time of year to have photos done when fall foliage in the background isn’t the primary focus. Often times end of September-beginning of October the weather is still very comfortable and there is more availability than trying to wait for mid-late October when the leaves change. We recommend booking fall photoshoots towards the end of the summer as these dates, especially on the weekend, fill up quickly!
