Engagement Photos at Hubbard Park | Meriden, CT

It’s always great when I book wedding photography for a fantastic couple! But even better when we decide to do engagement photos at Hubbard Park as well! These sessions are very important, I think, for the couple to gain trust in their photographer for their wedding day as well as the photographer is able to learn more about the couple! I always try to get to know who I am working with personally – how they met, where and how they got engaged, what they enjoy to do together, etc. My photography is about the people and it’s that personal connection that drives a great resulting photograph!

We chose to meet for their engagement photos at Hubbard Park, Meriden, CT on an early weekday morning while they both had some time off. This is a beautiful location with many places to pose and also to sit and enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately the daffodils were not a great crop this year, so they had already all finished blooming by our session date. The funniest part was we chose their wedding date a year from now to do the session, and I didn’t realize it until they said something! We had a great time walking around together and I love how in love they are with each other! I can’t wait to be a part of your big day next year, Katie and Alexei! Till next time, ~Kristin 🙂
