Seaside Engagement Photos | Lighthouse Point Park, CT

It is a true testament to any artist when they receive a referral from a past client. It’s the best thank you/form of payment we can receive! When we met to take the seaside engagement photos of Maggie and Dan, it was a direct result of a past session related to them! Dan’s brother Matt had photos taken with his fiancee Brooke by me back in the fall. After seeing how great they turned out, I ended up with a booking shortly after to work with Maggie and Dan later in the year. Originally we had planned to do a winter snow session, but after mother nature had other ideas, and knowing Maggie’s love of The Little Mermaid, I knew a beach session would work best! We were treated to a gorgeous pre-spring day at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, Connecticut. I have always wanted to venture to this location and doing a photo session here made that possible! Although the season hasn’t started yet, the park is beautiful! For families, there is a huge splash pad and playground, on top of a cute beach, the lighthouse, and one of the oldest carousels around (in season)! We had plenty of textures and natural backdrops to work with, which is always my favorite thing to find! The carousel museum provided an awesome architectural background especially in the black and white image below. I am in love with how different so many of the settings were and I hope you enjoy some of the photos from their session!
