Dr Seuss Cake Smash | Portland, CT

Happy first birthday, Ethan! We had a blast planning a Dr Seuss cake smash on the very week of celebrating Dr Seuss’s birthday! This little boy is the younger brother of one of my very first studio portrait clients a few years ago and boy have things changed since then! It’s always a treat when past clients come back to see me with their new family additions. You could definitely see the resemblance between these two brothers, especially in their smiles. I used a number of items that I had on hand and was able to borrow other themed items from a good friend of mine (who has a little obsession with Dr Seuss!). Little Peanuts made me another great banner to match and of course Betty’s Cake Creations came through with a unique cat in the hat cake! Although Ethan didn’t want to get right into eating the cake, he had fun poking it with the fork and still made enough of a fun mess to capture some really great images. See for yourself!
