Family Fall Photoshoot | Newington, CT

A lot of families like to wait until their baby turns 1 before planning their first photoshoot. It could be based on time, finances, location or season – but we love planning with our clients for a family fall photoshoot! We met early enough in the season that the weather was nice (just starting to get a little chilly) but we didn’t have to worry about fall foliage either. Late September into early October is actually one of my favorite times to photograph families! We met this adorable couple and their baby girl at a local open space location in town which is nice for an evening stroll before the sun goes down. She was one of the most socially interactive babies I’ve seen in a while, and absolutely love exploring with us and meeting my own daughter who came along to help (little kids LOVE my daughter, who is 9, so sometimes it’s a big help when they are a little bit shy). Now she might not have been shy, but we had so much fun together! Mom and Dad each got their own special time and photos (SO important especially for Moms who tend to be the day-to-day family photographers!) along with plenty of group photos together as well. Little Miss wasn’t quite walking yet, so we used the cute wagon that’s been passed down in the family and some blankets to make sure she still had some photos on her own.
