Beautiful Summer Family Photos | Newington, CT
Our connection to this family began last year, believe it or not. We had booked a session together for the end of October, and when a very full schedule and weather left us needing to cancel, I was so happy they waited to work together again in 2021! But weather was still not on our side! July 2021 came with rain…and LOTS of rain! For most of the month, every single day had measurable rain! And that doesn’t work well for trying to take beautiful summer family photos! But we were patient, and finally one evening we were treated to a lovely cloudy evening to meet. This blended family is absolutely precious! I love combining different ages with a great coordinated outfit palette. These guys were ready for photos! We walked at one of their favorite local spots taking photos along the way. We made sure to capture both photos all together as well as individual pictures of the children for Mom/StepMom to put in her frames. The kids really interacted well together and it was so sweet to watch them play and laugh as we ran through the grassy fields and up and down the hilly paths. It was a new location for me, and I always love exploring and seeing where we can find new areas to photograph! It was also nice to be fairly secluded here, and we only ran into a few walkers (of the 2 and 4-legged kind). The big kids were really great with the little ones especially twirling and chasing them as we tried to keep them busy during the late evening house. We had so many options for them to choose from! I can’t wait to see how this first picture will look nice a big in canvas in their entryway! For now, here are some of their favorite images (with so many more!).
