It’s truly amazing to me where my business takes me and the people that I am fortunate to meet. Last year at Newington’s big summer Extravaganza carnival, I met Phil & Louise after they saw a photo at my booth with Santa Claus. Phil has been one of Santa’s official helpers for some time, and Louise as Mrs. Claus, so I was overjoyed to have another contact for the holidays! Since then, they have attended some of my smaller family events and have been a huge help with children and making them feel comfortable. This year they’ll be joining us at our first annual Pet Day on November 16th! 20% of all proceeds will go to the CT Humane Society too! So I’ve gotten to know them well and was so honored when they asked me to photograph their family this past September. The family has struggled with some health issues this year, and really wanted to make this photoshoot a priority. They have a handsome 13 year old grandson who was so helpful and great to work with! We met on a beautiful early fall morning in September and the weather was just perfect! I love that we were able to photograph many different groupings for them to enjoy. They decided on an heirloom photo album and frame for their home so that they can enjoy these in print for year to come, and eventually hand down to their children and grandchildren too. I love bringing families together for milestones such as this. It is so important to be together and enjoy family memories. Fall is always a very popular time to get together but our season here is so short! I always encourage clients booking in September vs. October even though the leaves haven’t changed quite yet. The weather is usually very nice, the background is such that you can hang in your home and enjoy year round, and we don’t have to worry (usually) as often about coastal storms and cold temperatures as we do in October. It was such a great morning together for their fall family portrait and I can’t wait to see these images in print. Thank you for trusting me with your important life moments!
