Fall Photos at Bushnell Park | Hartford, CT

Our fall family photo session with the Jasinski Family had a number of “firsts” for me – it was actually my first family session at Bushnell Park in Hartford, CT! What a great location for a family photo session! Although a lot of the trees had either lost their leaves or were not the color changing type, the light was gorgeous setting behind the state capitol building and created a wonderful backdrop for their first set of family portraits! It was also the first family where we incorporated the family pet – their dog! I always recommend if you want to try to bring your pet along that you also bring a “handler” to your photo session that will be in charge of them in between so you don’t have to stress about it. The grandparents came along to help and it was great! We even have a number of photos when everyone is looking at the camera including the dog! Bushnell Park created a lot of different settings for family photos and photos of just the boys too! We came across a few leaf piles for them to play in which helped break up the posing parts. And I always try to photograph just the parents at some point during the session if we have time too! We forget that we were a couple before children, so I think it’s so important to include in galleries also!
