Landscape Nursery Family Photos | Cromwell, CT

Oh how we have loved watching this little one grow up the last 2 years! From before she was even born and in her Mommy’s tummy, we’ve been documenting all of the important milestones along the way. And as Mom has put it, “You just get addicted to professional photos!”. I’m so glad that they have trusted me with these moments. For her 2nd birthday, we decided on landscape nursery family photos that would mainly highlight the little Miss turning 2, but also incorporate some family photos, photos with each parent, and even had Grandma & Grandpa tag along too! Family sessions can be a great way to get the whole family involved, and with COVID-19 forcing many of us away from our parents/grandparents, this is a great time to reconnect. Now with little Miss being a bit on the shy side (and we know this!), finding a location that would keep her occupied enough to sneak in adorable photos was crucial. This is something that I talk about with clients a lot as I’m qualifying them for their session. It doesn’t just have to be at a location that might look pretty, but for many toddlers, having something to DO is just as important! Luckily, Grandpa was familiar with the landscape nursery in Cromwell and after asking permission from the owners, they allowed us to come shortly before opening time to walk around (carefully) and photograph their family! What an adorable facility! They primarily serve landscape contractors but happen to have a nursery on site as well. This was perfect for us as it was not crowded as a typical floral nursery would be, and being landscape contractors there were some great little spots mixed amongst their hardscapes and flowers to find. And as a professional photographer, it was my job to find them on the fly! We explored a number of great areas before it was time to walk around the nursery. Little Miss had a great time finding different colored flowers to point out to her parents and grandparents. We had some very sweet grandparent moments they the just loved when they saw the photos later! After many wagon ride requests from Grandpa and individual photos with Mom & Dad (and who could forget watching the ducks and frogs!), we had plenty of photos to choose from. Mom & Grandma were so happy going through the gallery virtually with me. Although it was a difficult choice, I helped them put together a story that was perfect to tell about this 2nd birthday milestone. I hope you enjoy some of the many favorites from their session!
