Carnival Cake Smash – Berlin, CT Cake Smash Photographer

Another one of my babies has already turned one with a carnival cake smash to celebrate his first birthday! I can’t believe it seems like just yesterday Jaxon was here for his newborn photoshoot here in my Newington, CT photography studio. Time really does fly by so quickly, and that’s why it’s so important to have your more important milestone captured by The Flash Lady! I was so excited when his Mom told me she was hoping for a carnival theme, as that is what they were trying to do for his first birthday party at home. It’s definitely been on my list, so I gave it a try and this might be a new favorite set up for this year! With some cute signs, popcorn and other carnival snacks, and colorful attire I quickly put something together they would all love and enjoy! Little Jaxon is still just as cute as he was as a newborn! Full of smiles and ready to pose for the camera! Our pre-cake portrait section is great for getting kids used to the studio and camera and taking some “clean” photos before the smash. Sometimes parents will bring a second little outfit too for a quick change and it definitely makes the gallery every cuter! When it was time for cake, delicious as always from Betty’s Cake Creations, Jaxon wasn’t quite sure that we were really letting him eat! But after getting into it and adding a spoon tool to help, he had a great time smashing! We always make recommendations for parents to try cake at home first along with messy play if they are not used to it. It definitely helps to have a much better first birthday cake smash session. Jaxon has so many amazing photos to choose from I don’t know how his parents are going to pick!
