Classic Newborn Photography | Middletown, CT

Last month we welcomed baby girl Layla to our Newington, CT photography studio at just 13 days new! Her parents were originally looking for our shorter, classic newborn photography session, but once they saw the extensive time, patience, and art that was going into photographing their precious little one they decided to upgrade to our Signature collection. In this case, we were able to spend a bit more time with her and photograph her in props that were requests such as my now highly request “bed shot”! There is just nothing like a sleeping brand new baby in a wee little bed made just for their size and holding a teddy! Miss Layla really preferred being a bit more wrapped up and snug and that’s ok! Sometimes babies just don’t like the naked shots and do much better with the security of a wrap. I tell all of my newborn clients that we will try as many things with them as we can safely, but in the end, we’ll do whatever makes them happy! 🙂 So, switching out wrap colors, props, and hats/headbands are a great way working with different angles to get parents a full gallery of their baby. We even were able to pose her in a fantastic “potato sack” stance with a teddy (composite image!) that they ended up printing and framing with me as well. I can’t wait to see this beautiful large framed piece hanging in their home to enjoy daily!
