Ukrainian Wedding Photography | Terryville, CT

Mary & Damian’s Ukrainian wedding back in October was one of the most beautiful and traditional weddings that I have had the pleasure of photographing! They contacted me off of a referral by a relative (Thank You!) and I was happy that I still had their date available. We started the day at the St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Terryville, CT. It was a gorgeous ceremony with plenty of traditions that I loved hearing the history of from both parishioners and the priest. We photographed the majority of the family and bridal party formals in front of the altar afterwards, including a photo of them with the choir where they have both sung in. After formals, we drove to the Heritage Hotel in Southbury, CT for the reception. There were more family traditions highlighted here including the breaking of the bread before the first dance. Mary & Damian had a wonderful reception with their family and friends. The hotel was a great host and the DJ by Powerstation Events kept the dancing going throughout the evening. Before the night was over, we snuck outside for some additional outdoor portraits of Mary & Damian as well as a group photo of Mary’s family.
