Fun Family Photos at Elizabeth Park | Hartford, CT

A few months ago, I was contacted by Sean in order to plan a surprise birthday session for his wife. They were looking for fun family photos to celebrate their twin babies being the “sit up” stage and also wanted a beautiful outdoor backdrop. We planned a session for June and used one of the best locations around for the time of year – Elizabeth Park in Hartford, CT. The rose gardens are in peak bloom towards the end of the month and provide a stunning burst of color and texture with is popular for many photo session types. We met early in the morning to beat the crowds (and heat, this was in the middle of a heat wave!). The babies did so well despite the warm temperatures, and we tried to stay in the shade as much as possible. We found quite a few quiet spots to explore, and I love the many options their gallery produced for them to choose from. In the end, we had so many beautiful photos it was best to put them in an album along with some framed wall art to enjoy and display at home. They were such beautiful products when they came in I hate to send them away to their new home, but I’m so glad they will be enjoyed. 🙂 I look forward to watching the twins grow and to their first birthday session this coming October. I wonder what theme we will come up with? Enjoy!
