3 Month Milestone Photos | Newington, CT
A few months ago I received an email from a local Dad hoping to surprise his wife for Mother’s Day with professional 3 month milestone photos of their baby boy. I was thrilled to be in on the secret and put something together that was really special! I give this Dad tons of credit – it’s not easy to put together a surprise that involves planning, multiple appointments, choice on color schemes, not knowing how the baby will be feeling that day, and then afterwards choosing what to gift without input from the recipient! But he was cool and comfortable, and with lots of guidance from your’s truly, we put together something really special! Connor, Dad, and Grandma arrived at my Newington, CT studio on a weekday morning in March and one look at this adorable face I knew we were going to have a fantastic session! Connor was perfectly content having me safely pose him on his tummy for the first sequence, and even do some wrapping for a few eye contact shots. Now 3 Month milestone sessions aren’t always easy. There are many factors and developmental differences after the newborn stage. So it’s important to talk to your photographer and communicate on their development for the best results. Sometimes we even wait a few more weeks longer just to get them more comfortable with things like tummy time, head stability, etc. While I was doing a set change, Connor decided it was a good time for a nap! This was incredible, and he was such a snuggler! He allowed me to pose him in 3 different set ups all while staying asleep. I know his Mom is going to just love these sweet photos! After nap time, we utilized a few other areas of my studio for some additional eye contact, sit up (with support) photos, and use some of his fox decor from the nursery to tie everything together. When Connor’s Dad met with me for his Design & Ordering appointment, he trusted me to make suggestions not only based on their home decor, but what combinations of photos would work best together for wall art vs. prints vs. gifts. In the end, we created a wonderful collection of framed, wood, and printed photos for them to enjoy as well as both Grandmas! I hope to see little Connor again for future milestones because he clearly loves to be photographed! Enjoy some of his favorites Dad chose below! 🙂
