2 Month Newborn Photos | Hartford, CT

Typically we see our newborn babies in my Newington, CT photography studio during their first 2 weeks after they are born. It’s the best time period to capture them while they are sleeping, flexible, and able to be posed before they are more awake and hit their growth spurts. Sometimes though, babies have run into other medical issues, or timing has made it difficult to schedule their due date ahead of time. So sometimes I am called asking if I can photography an older newborn, usually past the 4 week timeframe. It’s always possible to still have beautiful photos that are developmentally appropriate for their age. As long as we are realistic with expectations in advance, I love seeing babies that are older. Sometimes we can get some really goo eye contact and poses that we normally wouldn’t. During this little guy’s session at around 2 months old, we started off with some wrapped family shots to try and settle him down. He really enjoyed being wrapped (and bounced/snuggled!) and every time that I bounced around the studio rocking him, he fell asleep! After some family photos, we slowly worked our way through some props and eventually, unwrapping to a few table poses too! I was overjoyed at the variety we were able to have with a baby that was already of this age. But every baby is different, and I was so happy to be able to give his parents these beautiful photos to enjoy digitally and in print.
