Older Newborn Photos | Chicopee, MA

Most of 2020 has brought some difficult with scheduling due to COVID-19, and this was especially the case for newborn photography. Typically, we hope to have our babies sleeping soundly and able to be posed during the ideal 10-14 day period. But sometimes circumstances change, and we have to be flexible! Many parents worry whether or not they can still have beautiful photos of their baby after they passed this milestone. Such was the case with this Mom and her family as she contacted me right when photography studio were allowed to reopen at the end of June to clients. Her baby was already going to be a month old, and would it be possible to still come in for newborn-style photos? The answer was YES! We have to understand the types of posing and the potential that baby will be awake most of the session, but we can absolutely still photograph them! This sweet little guy came to my Newington, CT studio wide awake and ready to check out the place! But he had SUCH good eye contact and this is something that’s really special for the older newborn/infant months and something we can’t do with younger babies. After some posing on the blanket and in a cute bucket, we wrapped him up and he was sound asleep instantly! This was a real treat as it allowed me to pose him a few different ways and his Mom was SO happy he looked just like a brand new baby again! At the end of the session, we added his big brother to the mix and he was so proud! I love being able to have older siblings involved in such a precious moment. These images will look amazing in an heirloom Signature Album and this family will be able to enjoy them for years to come!
