Baby Rylan came to our Newington, CT photography studio for her newborn session and I was very excited to plan her special first photoshoot! What I can provide is truly artistic newborn photography and a skill that is always improving, especially for the safety and comfort of the brand new babies involved. Many of these poses take a great deal of patience to make sure the baby is comfortable. This is especially true of the first pose we worked on, the “froggie pose” that is popular and one that Mom was hoping we could try. Rylan did great and loved being warm and cozy on the posing table with the heater safely nearby. They chose more of a mauve color scheme to go with the barnwood background we used for the family photos later on. This is one of my favorite colors – it’s not “too” pink but not purple either. It’s a really nice color option for baby girls and can go with many different decor styles later when you choose images to hang in your home. Rylan’s father is also a police officer, so it was important to them to have a few images with an American flag scarf and his police uniform. They were also very excited to use my popular bed prop, and I just love the photos that resulted from this sequence! By the end of the session, Rylan was ready to be wrapped and snuggled by her parents, and I love how new moms and dads look at each other thinking about their exciting life changes ahead!
