Princess Cake Smash | Vernon, CT

I feel like I have done so many princess photoshoot variations for my clients over the years for my older toddlers…but this was the first time someone asked for a princess cake smash for a first birthday celebration! I couldn’t believe it, but was so happy to have materials and ability to create a scene for this adorable client and her family! Such pretty details for a pretty princess! We started off her photoshoot with some portraits to warm up and get used to me and the studio. Children are seeing people at very different levels these days still due to COVID 19, so we are always mindful that some might need more time than others to get used to something new! Luckily once we took out some balloons, she was all smiles from there! Cake time was absolutely hilarious – she loved eating, playing, and throughly smashing her cake from Sweets by Jenna and by the end there was nothing left to save for Mom to try! Bath time was a fun splash-fest so big, we got soapy water all over ourselves! We loved celebrating this little one’s first birthday and helping her Mom have her photos in an heirloom album to enjoy.
