Susan Huggins Professional Headshots | Connecticut Storyteller

In December we welcomed Susan Huggans to the studio for her professional headshots. Susan is the owner/founder of the Story City Troupe, which is a local storytelling group based out of Hartford, Connecticut. From their site description, “Story City Troupe uses The Moth Formula, which is to say all are true, personal stories of events that have happened in our lives, told without notes. Often funny, sometimes amazing, poignant or ironic, each presentation ends with a challenge overcome or a lesson learned about the human condition.” After meeting Susan it was clear she has a lot of stories to tell about her childhood, all with a fun twist that was easy to use to bring out her personality. I find that headshot sessions work best when I can have the client talk about themselves, with what they do for a living or their hobbies and then stop them when I see the light in their eyes. It makes a BIG difference in the overall outcome of how the photo looks, and thus far has been a great model to use to capture the true personalities of my more recent clients for their professional headshots.
