Backyard Wedding Ceremony | Newington, CT
Although you won’t see me photographing larger wedding very much these days, when I can, I do like to fit in some smaller events and weddings when my schedule allows. It’s why I was so happy to be able to accommodate the wedding of Charlie & Pamela when they asked me if I was available to photograph their backyard wedding ceremony over Labor Day weekend. As I normally do with my wedding clients prior to their big day, I usually like to try and visit their location, especially if I’ve never been there before, to get an idea of where we might like to take formals, how the lighting will affect the scene, and in general, just to meet together and get to know each other. What a lovely backyard they have! I joking told them that they should rent it out for similar ceremonies! For a small plot in Newington, as most of us have (they are close by me!), it was landscaped and hardscaped so well it was absolutely perfect for their intimate wedding. They had a picture perfect sunny day for their backyard wedding ceremony, and we arrived just in time to photograph people arriving, getting ready, their pets who were participating too, and then it was time for the big moment! After their wedding was completed, we photographed family formals and details of their outdoor reception before heading out to allow them to cherish the rest of the afternoon.
