Wedding at Pavilion on Crystal Lake | Middletown, CT

Getting to know my clients personally is always something that I cherish while celebrating one of the most important days of their life at their wedding at Pavilion on Crystal Lake. Emilie & Pete are connected with a number of my past wedding clients, which made photographing their wedding that much more meaningful. This group that I’ve been fortunate enough to work with has made my job so much fun! At the end of April Emilie & Pete were married at the Zion Lutheran Church in Portland, CT. It was a warm day for April, and the rain held off until just the right time after dinner to make some wedding portrait magic in the dark (scroll down to see!). They decided on a first look before the ceremony in the courtyard of their church, which holds such meaning to the bride. 1st looks are a great way for a personal and intimate pre-portrait session with your soon-to-be spouse, and capture a moment that no one else sees until the photos are released. It also takes a lot of pressure off the rest of the day, when a lot of couples like to enjoy some of their cocktail hour with guests too! They were so happy to see each other and Pete was definitely emotional seeing his beautiful bride! After a beautiful ceremony and family formals, we drove over to the Pavilion on Crystal Lake in Middletown for the reception. This was my first time here and what a cute venue! Simple, yet charming. The food was to die for, especially the mac and cheese bar! The rest of the evening they danced the night away with tunes played by my husband (the DJ!), Frank Vacca of 5 Diamond Productions!
