Wild One Cake Smash | Southington, CT

The winter months are always full of birthdays and what better way to celebrate than with a professional photoshoot to cherish the memory by?! I’ve worked with this family before and a few years later it was time for little brother to come in for his own wild one cake smash! I just love planning each theme for my clients custom and for this one, his Mom was hoping for a wild one theme with a blue twist to match his birthday invitations. Recently I have started expanding my prop collection by hand-making certain props myself to really giving a different 3-dimensional look to our custom sets. I created a number of the pieces that you see below in addition to the stuffed animals that his Mom brought along with her. What a sweet little smiley guy we had in the studio for his photoshoot! From the moment that he arrived, he was completely comfortable at my Newington, CT photography studio. My daughter was on hand to help and they became fast friends! Once we started posing for photos and playing with some themed props, he was happy to give us plenty of smiles, and it was really hard to narrow down to a reasonable number! After some clean photos, it was time to bring out the cake! He was happy to eat and smash his cake until there was just a pile of crumbs! He even tried to give me some too! When it was time to clean up after cake time, we were a little bit sad. I guess that cake was just too yummy! And sometimes, babies can only last so long before they are ready for a nap. But he looked just as cute with his little elephant bath towel that Mom asked to put over his head – even though he was crying!
